Traditional weight loss or fitness coaching focuses specifically on helping individuals achieve and maintain healthy body weight. This may involve providing guidance on nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle habits that can support weight loss, as well as offering accountability and support throughout the weight loss journey.”

While my deep health coaching may involve weight loss as a goal or outcome, it is not the sole focus of the coaching relationship. Instead, deep health coaching seeks to support overall health and wellness, including physical, emotional, and mental health, which can contribute to sustainable weight loss and improved health outcomes over time.

In summary, deep health coaching takes a more holistic approach to health and wellness, while weight loss coaching is more focused on achieving a specific weight-related goal.

Through the coaching process, I will help you define and clarify your long-term goals. We will break those goals down into specific skills. then, we will break those skills down into daily practices that become sustainable lifestyle habits.

It is not about depriving yourself of things you enjoy in life, but learning how to redefine your life around those things you enjoy in a new way that is healthy and positive.

Your health and wellness goals are your goals, and I want to realize and achieve them. We will holistically focus on four main skill areas in our deep coaching relationship: Nutrition, Movement, Sleep, and Stress

  • Nutrition

    Nutrition does not equal “Diet”. My approach helps clients explore their relationship with nutrition and food with the goal of finding the optimal balance necessary to acheive their goals.

  • Movement

    Movement is exercise. However, the paradigm of exericse may limit our paradigm of possibilities. It all depends on your goals and desired outcomes. We work together to figure out a plan that leads you to success. Could be acheiving a PR on your next Ironman or taking a walk on the beach to watch a beautiful sunset.

  • Sleep

    Sleep, rest, and recovery are the “secret sauce” for sustainable results. It is often overlooked or ignored when we decide to make changes. I help clients develop strategies and successful sleep habits.

  • Stress

    Stress is a part of life. Making new lifestyle change can present challenges and increase stress. Foundational to my success in working with clients is addressing stress and developing strategies as we work together.
